In a weekend filled with sustainability initiatives, UNESCO will hold a conference in the UA North Ballroom (1303 E. University Blvd.) to address water scarcity and management as well as desert food systems on Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5 until 5 p.m.
Sustainability scholars from Oman, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe and Mexico will meet with UA researchers and Tucson community members to talk about climate change and the earth’s environment.
According to UANews, conference organizers are expecting 230 community members to attend the conference including international dignitaries, students and faculty. This is a free, all-ages event and space is limited. Online registration is now closed but attendees are encourages to register in-person the day of the conference.

192 nations, almost all of the world, have signed onto the Paris Climate Agreement. It enters into force on Friday, November 4. Having this UNESCO meeting in Tucson is an honor worthy of a great city. Ignore the cranks. The world knows that human caused climate change is serious. We will share solutions that can save us from crashing headlong into real barriers to smart growth policies. Come join us and learn!
That’s right and the Clintons have never lied and used American tax payer money to enrich themselves with foreign gifts. You must ask yourself, of the 192 nations, how many are funding world solutions? Just like the UN, they are looking to us for cash. That is what this is about.
Ignore the cranks at everyone else’s peril. We are seeing sunspots retreat. Ice caps are growing. Winters in the east are getting colder.
Why not do like the Clintons and take credit for something that would have occurred naturally? It’s amazing how colleges have duped a couple of generations into this UN fraud for funds. The Clinton Foundation is stealing your money back from these third world polluters.
