In the nine-way Tucson Unified School District race, it appears that voters are picking the same-old, same-old.

Current TUSD board members Adelita Grijalva and Michael Hicks are winning the race for two seats.

Hicks remains 964 votes ahead of Jen Darland, who is in third place in the race. Darland had been endorsed by the Weekly, the morning daily and the Metro Tucson Chamber.

While nearly 47,000 ballots remain to be counted in Pima County, it’s unknown how many of those are in TUSD.

Oh my god really Grijalva again , get ready for more cover up and budget crisis, and when it happens please don’t point a finger at Mark and Mike for the majority needs to take responsibility for this failure. Hey at least there will be more opens for Grijalva’s family, watch the people flood from TUSD now. my children will not be there anymore.

  3. Someone needs to check into the rumor that thousands of illegals were allowed to vote in one or two precincts that weren’t checking ID’s. La Raza was observed directing illegals to those election places. It’s no wonder both Grijalvas keep winning their elections with this kind of corruption(both are members of La Raza)! Also rumored out of Raul’s ofc., that he received a $25k donation in the mail. What do you want to bet it originated from Sinaloa, Mex. (Sinaloan Cartel).?

  6. well I got a taste of how things will be , Grijalva sent me a personal message saying I accused her of stopping an investigation into my employment, that I need to let go of my misdirected rage and move on. I said that she would not listen to my case , I did not receive due process , that is not possible when the man conducting my hearing was involved in my termination, and wouldn’t allow me to present evidence or witnesses, which would have been difficult since he also refused disclosure. these are the things presented to Grijalva , anyone would be appalled at the administrations behavior , and question weather I was treated fairly, instead once again administration was listened to and was not allowed to talk again. I do not have misdirected rage , but the right to be angry over injustice that Ms. Grijalva has elected to ignore. I was terminated because my wife A teacher was involved in sexual misconduct with parents. When complaints were called in the calls were blamed on me, and even though I can prove it was not me , I was terminated. I appealed to Ms grijalva because as president of the board she is Mr. Sanchez boss, and even though other board members have asked the superintendent to look into this, he has not. He can not investigate this matter without talking to me or my witnesses, hence he has ignored a directive by the board . All I have ever asked for is for you, Adelita to do the right thing, and you have not. I have put my message out here in public , for I have nothing to hide. I challenge you once again to put aside all the political games and do the right thing. By the way it is difficult to move on when you are being slandered in the way that I am still to this day. I am offended that you can not do the right thing here but instead just attack me me.
