The Phoenix New Times reports that Trace Adkins shared a few words about SB 1070 at his concert in Phoenix last night:

Well, it looks like Lady Gaga’s not the only one who can’t keep her mouth shut about political issues during concerts. At last night’s Toby Keith show at Cricket Wireless Pavilion in Phoenix, Trace Adkins decided to let the Valley know just how he weighed in on the whole SB 1070 issue. He not only expressed his support for the controversial immigration law, but he also told anyone who doesn’t like Sheriff Joe Arpaio to blow him.

I can’t remember his exact words, but I thought he said that Arizona’s should tell the people that don’t support us or our immigration law to blow . FInally someone will balls!

  23. I was there. His comments drew a huge positive reponse from the crowd. He must have heard a few boos when the thunder started to quiet down. That is when he told those FEW that they could blow him. Once again drawing a monster outburst of support from the crowd. Yeah, it was obvious the vast majority of us here in Arizona have had enough of the liberal crap about 1070. Thank you Trace, thank you Governor Brewer, and thank you Sheriff Joe.

  37. Way to go Trace!!! and for those people who think this is about race, get your head out of the stand. Does the word ILLEGAL make any sense to you? How about I go into your home and take what I want. Then when the police come I tell them “I didn’t do anything ILLEGAL. I get to pick and choose what laws I wanna follow.” So you tell me what you would do if the police told me ” Oh ok. Go on your merry way” You be pissed off and you know it. The point is, IF YOU BREAK THE LAW YOU SHOULD PAY THE PRICE. You can’t just pick and choose what laws you wanna follow. When someone comes into the country without proper authorization it is illegal. I have no problem with anyone that wants to come into this Great Country LEGALLY.. I find it to be a slap in the face to anyone who took the time to get the proper paperwork to immigrate here.

  49. I love America. I’m a US citizen. I DO NOT support Illegal immigration. I DO NOT agree with SB 1070. It spends OUR TAX payer money in a useless way. Trace Adkins is another artist looking to sell more records, they are all doing this, speak against or for it and you’ll sell more records, get lots of press the next day, it works for them.
    Most people that support SB 1070 are only looking at the “what part of illegal don’t you understand” part, or the “they are taking over our state” part. What they fail to look at is the enormous amount of money that SB1070 is costing us! The worst part is this proposed solution, does not even eliminate the real problem, illegal immigrants taking our jobs, as long as there are jobs for them, they will continue to come. Send them back as many times as you wish, they’ll come back!
    Jan Brewer is not as stupid as she looks. That is the only way she can get elected! Appeal to Arizonan’s biggest fear, their state being “run over by illegals” and she calls this a solution.
    We are spending all this money on SB 1070 and frankly it is not a solution. If they get deported, they will come back, if they are put in jail we will pay for them to live rent free and eat at no cost.
    AS LONG AS THERE ARE JOBS THEY WILL KEEP COMING! How about we enforce that, sanction employees to the max for hiring illegals! Get these jobs out of the hands of illegals and into the hands of Arizonans! Increase the punishment for drug dealers, make it hard for them to sell drugs by allowing our police officers do their job, not make them become Border patrol agents!
    Also crime will go up, the more people that are afraid to contact police for fear of deportation, the more criminals can roam around for free.
    But everyone is just eating this up, and then Brewer will get elected(I continue to say elected, not re-elected, because she was never elected to begin with, so she is not seeking re-election) and I ask you Arizonan’s to be smart and ask from Brewer, real solutions, not band aid solutions that only benefit those seeking election and cost us tax payers so much money.

  50. I agree with Y27 . Ultimately the companies who hire the illegals are to blame for the illegal immigrants in this country. However, something that should be brought to American’s attention is the fact that major companies all over the USA have for some time now, moved their production to Mexico. They keep the final assembly of their product in the USA, to allow themselves to legally claim their product is a product of the USA. Thousands if not millions of people have literally lost there jobs to foreigners in this fashion. These jobs lost are not jobs that no one wanted because they are low paying jobs, (as most jobs taken by illegals are) they are top notch high paying positions. Cessna, 3m, Nike, and the list goes on. My sister an employee for twenty years with Cessna was informed last month that they’re closing down their production lines within two years, and moving it to Mexico. They have already done this with other lines within their company. They are paying the Mexicans $8.00 a day along with two meals a day. She makes $25.00 an hour doing the same job this person will be doing for $8.00 a day!
    What I would like to know is why isn’t there something being done about this? Where is the nationwide coverage on this? I mean common this is an outrage to have your job literally stolen out from under you and you have no chance of competing to keep it. Will it eventually end up the Americans running and sneaking across the boarder illegally to obtain employment? If American based companies continue to move their production as they are, I see it happening sooner than later.
