This new Dairy Queen is open on the corner of Silverbell Road and Speedway Boulevard. It’s sort of tucked away behind the new Taco Bell and some other buildings, but believe me, it’s there.

I saw a curious Dairy Queen RV lurking around this area the other day as well. I’m not sure what’s up with that, but it was huge and rather impressive. I’ve heard that some chain restaurants are attempting to step into the world of food trucking. Maybe it has something to do with that.

Also, the blizzard of the month has Nutter Butters in it. That is all.

  1. Chain Restaurants – The food truck world does not want you! You are the antithesis of the food truck movement! Stay in your lane.

Sad thing is, fat ignorant americans nationwide will line up to eat at a chain truck, the same people who would never attempt to eat at an independent truck.

  2. Ice cream shop opens in middle of summer in desert = news, in my book at least. Plus, another location on the northwest side just closed, so I thought people might like to know another opened. So picky!

  3. YUM!! Remember the Dairy Queen at near the corner of Broadway on Alvernon? We lined up many summer days for a chocolate covered cone.

DQs are for the young at heart.

  4. THANK YOU for the DQ announcement! I work west of downtown and didn’t know the DQ was there by other “lunch time” places. My co-workers and I will be going! To the person who didn’t think it was newsworthy – many of us differ. 🙂 Woo hoo!

  5. Mr Misty floats rocked my childhood summers. If only I could get them to come to me? I am ALL FOR the food truck.

  6. Chain food trucks = new down fall for small business owners = sh*ttier economy.

So just because your fat a$$ doesnt want to drive to get your extra 3,000 calories today the rest of the world should suffer financially?

    Get real fat boy
