I kept wondering why a legislature so preoccupied with natural-born US citizenship wouldn’t bother with applying similar restrictions to our own state offices. Then someone told me the answer: Tom Horne, Arizona’s Superintendent of Public Instruction now running in the Republican primary for Attorney General, is… an immigrant.
Seriously. Horne was born in Quebec.
Interesting, isn’t it, that there was no birther movement until 2009. You know, after Obama was inaugurated. But hey, that’s righty wacko…
There was the anti-birther movement seven years ago to see about getting Arnie on a future presidential ballot, around the time Jörg Haider was causing a ruckus in Austria for his pro-Nazi remarks. I wonder if righties would have questioned the Governator’s loyalties should he have been eligible to run.

You know, the lege just needs to come out and say outright “We don’t want no n****r in the White House again and we don’t want no messicans there neither!” Raul Grijalva better watch his back — they’ll be trying to disenfranchise him next.
We need to either vote these assclowns out of office in November, or get a recall going on every single Republican. It’s probably too late to save Arizona from becoming a smoking hole, but if we can fix the government here there might be a chance to actually build it back up to a worthwhile place to live.
