With the headline, “A Racist, Sexist, Demagogue Just Won the New Hampshire Primary,” The Huffington Post announced Donald Trump won the Republican primary in the state by a landslide.
The billionaire reality TV star, and “all Mexican immigrants are rapists” believer got 98,309, or roughly 35 percent, of the votes. Surprisingly, Ohio Gov. John Kasich came in second, but considerably lagged behind Trump with 43,878 votes, of 16 percent, the HuffPost reported.
New Hampshire Republican primary voters on Tuesday made official their choice for president of the United States: real estate mogul and reality television star Donald J. Trump.
The businessman’s resounding victory amid a crowded field of more experienced and accomplished candidates is a stunning turn of events for a party that vowed just four years ago to be more inclusive to minorities after failing to unseat President Barack Obama in the bitter 2012 election. What the GOP got instead is a xenophobic demagogue who’s insulted pretty much everyone and even earned the endorsement of white supremacists. Trump’s victory in New Hampshire likely points to a drawn-out slog between Trump and at least one of his rivals as they battle to secure enough delegates in hopes of winning their party’s nomination this summer.
Last night, Politico wrote that the HuffPost had gone “nuclear” at news Trump declared victory, and reminded us that the publication had refused for months to cover anything Trump-related on the politics section.
Recently, the site started appending an editor’s note to the bottom of posts about the Republican presidential contender, calling him a “racist,” a “liar” and a “xenophobe” and reminding readers of his proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.
HuffPost, you have balls.
In other news, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders took the Democratic primary win last night, beating former secretary of state Hillary Clinton with 60 percent of votes. Clinton got merely 38 percent.

AZ/DC. You need to brush up on political facts. I knew McCain and Romney were dead before the first vote was cast. No way the G.O.P. could win with the same ol’ reach across the aisle Republican Establishment candidates. ( See Bob Dole). That’s why Trump is so popular. Do yourself a favor and buy ( or better yet, ask someone to give you) a history book. Then report back to us explaining all the times socialism has worked.
I think that what really pisses them off is the fact that he is not PC, and they read that as all the bad things they call him.
P.C. has run its course and should have been dead and buried long ago. It has weakened us as a society, when we can not address the issues that need to be addressed for fear of offending someone’s delicate sensibilities. It also has basically destroyed the power of the First Amendment.
I don’t need a history book to know that this fool will not be our president. He’s entertaining, I’ll give him that, but that’s all he is. He has no political know how, and that is what will be his downfall.
Also, most who use the socialist term don’t know the true meaning anyways. That gets proven anytime it’s been used against most of the Dems who have ran for or held office in the last several years.

One of the things that mystifies me is that Trump and Cruz, so disdainful of things “Washington” are spending so much money to get there. Trump can run a business (or not) but the our country is not a business. There is nuance to this country that as much as conservatives would like is different that a business. Iowa and New Hampshire are insulated white states. More people live in the Phoenix area than Iowa and New Hampshire combined, so I do not think this will reflect the entire country’s electorate. This is news no doubt, but these hateful, mean spirited and annoying candidates remain on the unexperienced margins representing exactly what the Huff Post decries. Time will tell.
Too smart to read a book ? I’m impressed. I try to read as much as I can. And not just the sports page. You’re never to old to learn. I’ll say this for Trump. At least he doesn’t have the F.B.I. sniffing around him.
