Wow that’s intense. I am a little ashamed of watching the video for the sensationalistic factor of seeing what somebody’s last moments might have looked like, but at the same time, you can’t get more real jouranlistic value than a video of an event. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth even more.
I feel for Brad Will, who was only trying to document something and had no interest in hurting anybody. More and more, journalists are being targeted. (You see this in the border areas of Israel quite a bit — rent the documentary “Death in Gaza” to see IDF soldiers purposely kill journalists right on video).
The one-two punch of having a cover story and an accompanying video is a good use of internet multimedia. Kudos, Tucson Weekly.
