Ninth St., near North Fourth Avenue announced on its Facebook page that there will be a brief opening from Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23. Here’s a taste of the menu:

various pastries/cookies
Beverages include a (mostly) full coffee bar, limited beers and wine selection and a cocktail punch, according to the Facebook update. The official reopen date will be announced shortly after Sunday. Click here to like the Facebook page.

You know what’s “weird” about this place? None of the people who live in the building will be able to afford to eat there.
You know what’s “weird” about that comment? Considering the fact that I couldn’t afford to be a customer of most of the companies I’ve worked for, and no one seemed to care (nor should they), why should one expect that a random new business opening near me is catering directly TO me?
I haven’t seen the menu prices yet, so I don’t know if I can afford to eat there either.
If a car dealership opens in my neighborhood and sells cars that I can’t afford, who do I complain to about it being weird?
