KAET-TV and the ASU journalism school are once again taking the pulse of Arizona.

The latest Cronkite-Eight Poll shows that 51 percent of the registered voters surveyed support a proposed law labeling illegal immigrants who break any laws as domestic terrorists.

Also noted: Sen. John McCain leads the presidential race in Arizona, if not nationally; Hillary has a slight lead over Obama; and 54 percent think a bill to prevent teachers from speaking about political topics in class is brain vomit.

  1. You people are so wound about McCain and Kyl and that’s part of point of those two. Don’t worry, the Olde Republican Party will squelch them in the nick of time, once they have served their purpose. It’s an internal matter to the Republican Party. The governor of Tenn is amazed at the number of Mexicans coming over the Arizona border, we learn taoday. But his “astonishment” is — yep, yep, yep — only because these people eventually find their way to Knoxville, and Nashville, and villeville, TN, USA and take motel and other Interstate jobs away from the good, God-fearing people of Tenn. AZ is and has been one of the Republican “Hot-Button” places (thanks to Goldwater, who didn’t really want it to be used that way) for decades and it’s never been a better party toy than it is now.

Besides, whatever they come up with in the end, they know they always have The Supreme Court to fall back on, pardon me!

    Don’t worry about it!

  2. There are 1.3 billion Chinese. There are 100 million Mexicans. US Americans are fools to think Mexico is the biggest threat. I’m laughing all the way to Walmart to make another truckload of Chinese Communist Party contributions.

    Have rice Day!

  3. Am I wrong here? The Commies were our mortal enemies for, like, decades. We launched wars against the Red Menace.
Our all-American dollars support the world’s largest oppressive government. And for what? Cheap TV’s? So corporate American can prosper.
Guess I better call my broker, take advantage of the great deal we’re getting from the REDS.
