Congrats to Tap & Bottle, who made the top three in CraftBeer.com’s Great American Beer Bars poll for 2013. While T&B couldn’t beat out two entrants from Colorado (and to be fair, Falling Rock in Denver is a spectacular bar), the best news is that the still-quite-new establishment beat out Papago Brewing Company in Scottsdale. From that, we can reasonably extrapolate that Tucson is a better place to drink craft beer than the greater Phoenix area. Take that, neighbors to the north!

Great recognition for Tap and Bottle, which has been a great add to Tucson drink-scene. Selection at 1702 is better, but I prefer T+B atmosphere, which makes a difference. But, truth be told: there are probably a thousand deserving (and better) places that could be on this list, and several I can name that were not even nominated.. even from AZ (Flagstaff). So, it should be a humble victory for T+B. Lists like these are often kitschy. But at least it gives you some new addresses to try while travelling!
