Just because we haven’t had enough campaigning over the last year: Suppose Congressman Raul Grijalva does get appointed to Secretary of the Interior. Who runs for his seat in a special election? The comment section is open to irresponsible speculation. We’ll start with three obvious ones: Tucson City Councilwoman Regina Romero, Pima County Supervisor Richard Elias and state Rep. Matt Heinz.

  4. grijaliv is like mole , spy he only gets votes from mex., liberals there is something wrong here in tucson that will bite us in the ass someday . When you have a mex. call for a boycott of arizona and grijaliv keeps moving up in politics red flaggs should be going up!

    But from my point of view, there’s one out a thousand chances that my beloved US Congressman Grijalva will be appointed as the US Secretary of the Interior.

    But should such a miracle occur, I’d encourage the Mexican entrepreneur to seek US citizenship as soon as possible.

    He’s the fellow that’s built those huge greenhouses up in Amado.

    Whose millions of big fat tomatoes are now ripening, last I looked.

    If he does, he’s got my vote!

  7. Elias would be a good possibility. Which makes me want to puke. He’s nothing but a Raul clone. I worked for the County. Trust me I know.
