Democrat Kyrsten Sinema has taken a 2,106– 8,859– 9,610-vote lead over Republican Martha McSally in the U.S. Senate race after more ballots were tallied today. This one is remains in overtime.
Meanwhile, Democrat Kathy Hoffman has taken a 20,348-vote lead over Republican Frank Riggs, which could make the rookie candidate and former public school speech pathologist the first Democrat to win a statewide state office in a decade.
Garrett Archer, aka Data Guru, crunches what he knows about where the ballots still are (note: Pima has since reported some of its ballots, leading to Sinema’s 7K jump between counts tonight):
Unfortunately, we won’t be getting much more out of Archer tonight as he has his priorities right:
Pinal County, where McSally should pick up votes, says it has roughly 25K early ballots and 6800 provisional ballots to process:
Barrett Marson, who worked the anti-Sinema Defend Arizona campaign, predicts McSally will make up some of her lost ground:

No offense to Ms. Green, but I’d like to smack all of her voters in the face with a Buick.
Kinda fun that AZ is coming down to the wire like this. Esp. with the candidates all being ladies.
Awe yes, the two party system masquerading as a democracy.
Trump already has enough in the Senate to replace Ginsberg or whichever justice retires or dies next with a good constitutionalist.
Sinema seems kind of nutty based on some of the things she’s said, she’s a bit too marxist and a bit too much against the United States remaining a sovereign nation for me.
As for people wanting to do violence on those who voted contrary to their party, you’re what’s wrong with this country, please leave.
Or he could appoint another intemperate and partisan bro….
what happened to the libertarian party? why were they not on ballot to take votes away from republicans.
on ktar radio they were saying in 13 counties day of election drop off mail in ballots were not counted after 7:00pm but discarded. anyone no about this?
“Vote. Everyone please vote. Do your civic duty!!!!”
“What? You didn’t vote how I WANT you to vote? Now I’m gonna hit you in the face wit a brick”
What beautiful discourse we have. Isn’t it great that we can threaten violence for someone exercising their rights.
Voting third party is not stealing votes. Those votes were not theirs to begin with. The vote belongs only to the voter.
Hopefully, most of these Green Party Voters were unaware that Angela Green had withdrawn her Candidacy and Supported Krysten Sinema.
The Green Party, for 2020, should join the Liberal Component of the Democratic Party putting up their own Liberal Democrat Candidate if necessary. As it is, a Vote for a Green Party Candidate is, in fact, a Vote in Support of the Republican Candidate!!
Republicans encourage the Green Party to run a candidate and will gladly offer a person to head that party because they know that Green will never win but will take votes away from the lead Democrat .
If the Green Party is allowed on the ballot then the Libertarian Party should also be there. “What’s good for the goose is also good…….
New updates??
They just found more votes in Florida and it reeks of fraud. Regardless of the outcome, Dems are chasing Russia, and we may be the enemy. Shameful in this ONCE great nation. Just shameful.
Trust and confidence in our system has eroded even further.
