The jury in the first-degree murder trial of border activist Shawna Forde decided that she will be put to death for the deaths of 9-year old Brisenia Flores and her father Raul Flores.
Forde was convicted last week on two counts of first degree murder in the 2009 home invasion where Flores and his daughter were killed.

I agree with the death penalty. You simply can’t go around killing people just because you don’t like them. You also have to be made resposible for your actions no matter what happened to you as a child. It is true child abuse changes who that person is or would have become but it is no excuse for murder when you know right from wrong like Shawna did. What is sad though how the defense team lied about her mothers situation saying she gave her up because her boyfriend didn’t like Shawna. It was her father who didn’t want her that her mother was with. Her mother had six of those nine children in marriage. The first was by her stepfather and who can hold that against a young girl who’s mother is married to a monster? The other two were Shawna and a brother. She did not give up those kids because she preferred her boyfriends. She didn’t want Shawna killing her sister and having to live with the stigma of that. Why didn’t the defense look into Shawna’s father’s side? There are many things that were not brought out during trial but the penalty was fair and right.
