Apparently, the ribbons that some attendees of the State of the Union are planning to wear to honor Rep. Giffords and the others wounded or killed in the Tucson shooting will eventually lead to a “sing-a-long” according to Rush Limbaugh.

Also, the color choice is seemingly an issue, and as best I can tell, you can’t be a true Republican and wear it. But, hey, I guess the guy has to fill his airtime somehow.

  1. My latest discovery–a bit OT, but intriguing. Compare the audiences of Rush Limbaugh and NPR:

    http://www.quantcast.com/rushlimbaugh.com
    http://www.quantcast.com/npr.org

Note that the green bar graph is the most revealing, provided you understand that an index of 100 (the green bar on the right) indicates a site’s audience is equivalent to the demographic make-up of the total internet population. Any increase over 100 means that the property is “over indexed” and attracts a more concentrated group of a particular demographic group than in the general. internet population.

The punchline? OVERWHELMINGLY, Rush’s audience is OLD, OLD, OLD…and CHILDLESS!

And check out the right-hand column, too: what other media the audiences use. Great for a laugh on the intellectual bent of the Rush audience vs. the NPR one (that Palm Beach News would even appear on the list tells you a lot right there!).
