No confirmation from the ownership yet, but word is that Luke Cusack’s Redline Sports Grill and accompanying nightclub RPM closed yesterday. There was drama last year between Cusack and Lindy Reilly (of Lindy’s on Fourth fame) and then a giant Buffalo Wild Wings location opened right next to Redline late last year, likely hacking away at the Grill’s income, but seemingly the nightclub portion of the business was doing well, with TAMMIES runner-up Kidd Kutz (and my former co-worker at Clear Channel, for what its worth) moving there on Friday and Saturday nights in November. For what it’s worth, one post by a local club promoter mentions that the business is moving in the next three months.

We’ll update the post if news emerges, but as it stands now, it seems like the controversial Cusack (just read any comment section on a story mentioning him on our site) might be leaving another failed business in his wake.

  5. this comment comes in 1/2013-after the closing of redline….all i can say is that we had gone many times while they were open, but havent been recently. A couple of weeks ago, we went for lunch and it was amazingly awful!! the service was terrible, and the food did not hold a candle to what we had received on previous visits. After reading the article about the closing, and now this article, it all makes sense now.

  6. Since Lindy left it all went downhill, but what ultimately killed Redline was Cusack. He has no business running a restaurant. The food quality and the service turned into total crap under his leadership. Sad because the decor and building were awesome.

  8. Someone needs to go a story about this guy. Pipe bombs in his garage, death threats, tax evasion, arson fires, ripping off partners and employees. Multiple failures and a bankruptcy. Not to mention he doesn’t pay vendors and is in several lawsuits currently. Basically just being a scumbag, Tucson would be better off without him.
