This is so sad.
Tim Russert is among the best political journalists, if not the best.
He made politics understandable without dumbing it down. He wasn’t afraid to ask the hard questions.
Meet the Press was the only reason to turn on TV on Sunday morning.
He will be sorely missed.
I too will miss Tim Russert. He was smart, wise, erudite and down to earth. Well respected by collegues, friends and foes, his take on the political machine was full of insight and witty. He will never be replaced.
So long Russert. We’re going to miss you.
What’s the big deal? Another quasi-right-wing TV news-chat host in sheep’s clothing, way too soft for Fox, but basically a Bush administration sympathizer (he was a lot tougher on his liberal guests than the conservatives). Five years from now he will be forgotten.
