1978 was a great year for disco!
Yesterday, when I came home from work, someone had plopped two of his signs in my front yard, uninvited. I put them in the trash. Please don’t blame the city!
The link provided is obsolete. It was to the AM updates and now the printed version is online and has most of the comments.
During the RTA I tried to remove as many illegal passage signs as I could. But those big bucks allowed for almost instant replacement of very expensive signs.
Now the effort to have the will of the people be recognised regarding poor people paying for ever more profit for the rich or literallly being denied tap water at any price (at least in the third world enough to survive on is left to trickle when the first born etc. is not served up in sacrifice to those with the biggest guns) is having there cardboard shredded like the nest of some urban camper caught pissing under a park bench with the same sadistic glee.
Yeah- they can’t replace the signs. It was real sacrifice to make them and place them at all. And in three days, on Monday, in public, an argument or ruling will be made on who is right. But it will matter little. It as though the signs never existed. If 200 fails it will not be like WWII. The good guys will have not just lost this time, they won’t even have been known well enough to ever forget.
These signs after all are recyclable. But clearly allowing for that would risk there even greener reuse.
DONATE! We are talking about pennies! Should one side be denied parchment to write on? Allowed only thereh worst spokespersons hostily edited soundbites to whimper?
You don’t ahve to know anything to know given fortunes to clowns and NOTHING TO INITITIATIVES to balance funding inequities is an embarassment to our so young democracy. If true liberation is to come here those with dozens of serious competent credible honest heros assembling should be able to get SOME real time on our collective dime. It’s not about Kromko! There are more truly informed people for 200 then against. But instead a tiny list of those against is all we see, mandated by law there identities are made too much of. Rare is even a person in the list. Only corporations for each of which many in support of unquestionable integrity on honesty WOULD STEP UP IN HI DEFINITION IF GIVEN A STAGE.
I know this is hard to believe. A better suit would be to obtain the names of those writing letters in support that are not published by this paper or any other local one. A list though long enough to ensure victory would be in fact just a token representation because most assume correctly there is no chance of publication.
Citizen journalists need to assemble at this hearing and make the fact of it known. Make the reality of no remedy regardless of what the judge might try to come up with being available. No ability for those who voted early to change there vote to YES. Or those not registered because THEY KNEW NOT EVEN OF THE EXISTENCE OF THIS MEASURE (THE ARGUMENTS COMING OUT AFTER THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE PASSES BY DESIGN!!) being a reason to risk jury duty etc.
What I don’t understand is why we act like the slander and libel against those who merely indicate support can’t in taking action against have our judiciary settle the most contrived lies prior to the election!
FACTS MATTER.
MUCH OF THE OPPOSITIONS ARGUMENTS ARE PROVABLE FALSE PRIOR TO THE ELECTION IF ONLY ENOUGH FUNDING TO HIRE PROPER COUNSEL COULD BE GATHERED. COUNSEL THAT OF COURSE WOULD NEVER VOLUNTEER AGAINST THERE OWN CLIENT BASE AND FUTURE PERSONAL INTEREST!
BUT NONEHTHELESS THE MOST TALENTED MOST NOBLY ZEALOUOS COULD AND WOULD SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT IF THERE RETAINER COULD BE MET. And it would be what a single percent of the oppositions spending so far? But more then the likes of Kromko has spent on himself in years.
We need a referee. We have a seperate branch of government, a REAL ONE (not local media!), to look to. But those who know the truth, simply lack the money for the samurai invade the mind of the robed salaried to so entertain and inform where we lack time etc. to figure out our way through sleeze and madison avenue hypnotisers paid even more!
Just goto a lawyer database and find the proper catagory. Call- get some quotes, let’s know how much it takes to set free the innocent condemned. Lest we rot further denied there presence among us.

The harm our government did is denying the will of the people unless luck or mere good intentions gets the support to the polls for repealing one of the worst taxes ever suffered anywhere in this country.
Should the measure not pass the election must be voided and a stipulated date for rescheduling it be the only true remedy. This time with all us accountable to making sure the truth is not buried again.
I have checked both local dailies and neither has covered the 2:30 PM hearing yet despite saying the update is hourly and eight or more having passed.
If I find some links with more detail I’ll post them here. I think I actually learned more watching the talking heads chat it up as they knew what happened up to there live broadcast!
Finally I want to say again that should we lose this election to the power of false advertising it need not be the end of the war, just another battle, one we survive, one where we can call for another vote, maybe the third time will be the charm, maybe not, but eventually, the fact that people don’t vote for themselves picking up an unfair portion of the cost of public services will not be denied evidence at the ballot box yet again.
Maybe by then Cox will not allow the repeals website to be accessed by it’s customers, as comcast already is doing according to the AP for rich content this can only be shared in way they are secretly unethically blocking. Maybe though as well Hein will be charged with the unethical not just ILLEGAL (though it be that as well of course) practice of law in claiming authority and then putting a very very very large file on a city server that is not even information in fact begins with saying this issue has evaded review in that case. I’ve never seen a worse pdf scan. Nor have i seen a hot topics with a large blank line from an errant carrieage return or late editing.
Had this issue truly been reviewed certain guidelines akin to those of the voter information booklet would of been the result. Any town must host the booklets comments and any others at worst for the cost of entering them in but be barred from requiring the authors to pay for bandwith if downloaders elect to see them and require that sufficient bandwith for all content getting equal easy access as well.
The main thing that is missign however is something like a league of women voters is often thought of as being. A place where truth could be sought with discipline and integrity, transparency and principle.
Because any such place would say an election should not be necessary. Only the question as to whether the electorate has the right to decide the matter. If it does, and although the city may have reserve the right to still challenge that, only corruption in the process could have the measure defeated.
