Hillary Clinton announced over the weekend that she is running for the presidency. She’s the first Democrat in the race, and The New York Times said she’ll likely be the 2016 Democratic candidate.

It was amusing to see GOP figures like candidates Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, and former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, flip out about Clinton’s announcement. They immediately took it to Twitter/made videos shot way too close to their faces saying Clinton is a candidate of the past, etc., etc.

Cruz did the usual spiel on being conservative:

Fox News Political Analyst Brit Hume said he doesn’t think Clinton will win because no one wants another four to eight years of the Clintons’ “weird marriage” in the public eye.

At this point, you should just watch Jon Stewart’s response. He didn’t discriminate, though. He also made fun of Clinton’s campaign video:

I was born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. I moved to Tucson about 10 years ago. Since I was old enough to enjoy reading, I developed an interest in writing, and telling stories through different...

  1. Well about time she made the announcement. With her we get experience and a informed husband to help plus a vice president unless she uses Bill for the slot. The good thing we already know there secrets so no surprises. Maybe we will get the economy back on track. I vote for who will help as a whole not a group. So lets see the rollercoaster go.

  2. Why don’t we first talk about her accomplishments? Never mind, she doesn’t have any.

She can take on the plight of the poor, the abused women and the minorities. She and Bill have lived it all. But you better check into influence peddling with his non profit charitable operation.

She scares me because of the number of poorly informed voters.

  3. Actually I meant the ignorant voters that thought Obama ‘s plan for change was going to change things for the better.

  4. As opposed to the ignorant voters that continue to populate the Arizona Legislature with cR-AZy members, David w?

  5. Ha ha ha is right David W–our state ledge lies constantly and has stolen more money from public education than you can imagine. And despite a lawsuit that ruled AGAINST them, not a single one goes to jail, not a single dime gets paid. Only in Arizona, where the frontier mentality still adds up to Joe Arpaio and corruption on a daily basis.

  6. Lol! David W. I cannot tell you how many people have said to me(referring to Ducey), ” I didn’t know he was going to do ________”. I said,” Well he said he was going to do some of that so knowing Republicans, couldn’t you assume he would do a lot of that?”. Very poorly informed people put him in and want him out now that he is in and know what he is doing and going to do”. The sad news is you must be glad about what he is doing. Very sad. You must even think the robbing of education funds is good. So really people, consider the source in whatever he says.

As for Hillary …. she knows a lot. I think she will do a good job with all her experience. She does know domestic and international policies. She supports President Obama’s policies on negotiations and reconciliation. I think she may be a little more of a warmonger but heaven help us in that regard if a Republican gets in. I think the only Republican who has any brains is Cruz and he uses what he knows poorly. Lots of bad decisions have been made by smart unwise people.
