Pima County Republican Party Chairwoman Carolyn Cox and Pima County Democratic Party Chairman Jeff Rogers debate the issues of the week on tonight’s Political Roundtable with Arizona Public Media’s Christopher Conover and your host, Jim Nintzel. Among the topics: How the Republican primary in the Congressional District 8 special election to finish Gabrielle Giffords’ term is shaping up; why the West University Neighborhood Association is upset with the Tucson City Council over the possibility of high-rise development on the west end of the UA near the Main Gate; and the latest news at the Arizona Legislature, including bills to defund Planned Parenthood, audit the Pima County bond program and more.

  1. The U of A is like the Monster in our backyard , Neighborhoods all around the Campus have been ransacked for many years 100s and 100s of good homes have been torn down to make way for parking lots. Why does the city let this go on , neighborhoods look bomb out by theses vacant lots . The U’s greed to collect parking fees over nice homes being crushed needs to stop the people of tucson should say no more damage to our neightborhoods….

  2. look up the history of tucson, land grant college in the middle of now where, just like DM. IDOITS built house to be near the u and the base, deal with it. It’s not lie it just sprang up in the middle of the night. When you bought in there you did not see it?
