A local woman received a bomb threat from someone posing as President Barack Obama, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department stated.

The reportee contacted sheriff’s deputies from her car, saying that morning she’d received a phone call from someone claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service, but when she figured out it was a fraudulent call and confronted the person on the line, he got very angry and “revealed” himself as not actually an IRS employee, but the president himself—going on to claim there’d been a bomb planted in her home.

Deputies did a sweep of her property, finding nothing that could have been a bomb, and the home was cleared for residence.

  1. It probably was the IRS. They call my house every couple weeks. I gave them my Visa card # and told them if I had made a mistake on my taxes to just put it on the card, but they never have. I have seen lots of charges for food and gas but the joke’s on them. I still haven’t paid my taxes.
