Students at BASIS Tucson North march and hold an assembly, calling on Congress to address gun violence in schools.
Letter-writing station at BASIS North provided fact sheets with positions of local politicians on guns and information for contacting them.
Students at BASIS North held a 17-minute vigil for the people killed in Parkland, Florida. At the beginning of each minute, students spoke about each of the victims. In front is Victoria Steele, former state lawmaker and current candidate for Arizona State Senate, who spoke at the event.

CDO students make a solidarity banner in honor of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, on the one-month remembrance of the school’s mass shooting that killed 17 people.
CDO students also remember Christina-Taylor Green, murdered in 2011 during a mass shooting at Congress on Your Corner event in Tucson. She would have been the same age as many of the students marching.
