The Bashful Bandit has been remodeled and will be featured on a new Travel Channel reality show called American Road House. It’s like Bar Rescue but for biker bars. The episode won’t air until early 2014. We hear that the bar has been redesigned to attract a wider audience. The bar is famous for being a gritty biker pub. There will be drink specials and live music to celebrate the grand re-opening.

The party starts at 7 p.m. The bar is located at 3686 E Speedway Blvd. Send us pictures at hbarajas@tucsonweekly.com and we will post them on The Range tomorrow morning.

  1. Nice PR I guess. My daughter told me several years ago that it had already been taken over by “frat boy wanna be bikers” and it was longer a real biker bar.

  2. It’s been years since I have been of “College Night” age, but I want to say around ’04-’05 they did have college nights on Tuesdays. Much different crowd than I was used to seeing at the Bandit.

  3. Yep. The photo above says it all. There used to be a time when the whole front and back of the place was lined with bikes. Also, there used to be a time when it was hard to find a place to tack a bra on the ceiling 😉

  4. Again though, not like the old Dirty Dozen days. I like it the way it was, I will go check it out, but, well, we will see.

  5. I think someone is putting a false statement on here about the frat boys in that bar. Ive been going there since 1981 and no frats then unless you might have mistaken the Diry Dozen for a frat boy. Not. I go there every time I come to Tucson just to see whos still alive.
