Protect Our Care, a nonprofit healthcare advocacy group, is launching a $2 million TV buy in three states, including Arizona, to hammer President Donald Trump for his response to the coronavirus crisis.

In one spot, “Left Behind,” a family nurse practitioner, Tarik Khan, talks about how Trump failed to protect vulnerable older adults from the virus. In another, “Ignored,” Dr. Risha Khetarpal says the president is ignoring experts and spreading false information, leading to unnecessary deaths.

The ad buy comes as Arizona continues to move into swing-state territory, with polls showing Trump trailing Democrat Joe Biden.

  1. LOL…the mere fact that political parties still do these corny, hackneyed political ads is a riot. Its so 20th century and come off more like superbowl commercials than having any useful information that will sway a voter. Heck my grandparents dont even watch TV. They stream everything to avoid commercials.

  2. Politicians handlers get a percent of the ad buy. If it is meaningless they get their money anyway. Most attack ads are to impress the the people writing the checks. Question: when I was growing up 60 years ago republicans wouldn’t put their party’s name on their campaign signs then about 30 years ago the democrats stopped putting their party’s name or symbol on their signs. I tell candidates asking for my vote if you are so ashamed of being a democrat that you won’t tell people on your signs that you are a democrat. Then as a democrat I am too ashamed to vote for YOU! When I ran 40 years ago in az I put on my sign the peace symbol The word democrat in big black letters. I also put a large red star between my first and last name ;but that was just for fun!
