A new restaurant called 47 Scott is scheduled to open next month at 47 N. Scott Ave., according to its website.
Information is scarce regarding the restaurant, but a press release says 47 Scott will debut a “comfort food” menu at the upcoming 2nd Saturdays event, which features concerts, food, performances and loads of other entertainment on Saturday, May 8.
If anyone has more information about the eatery, feel free to leave a comment or send the information to noshing@tucsonweekly.com. We’re dying to know more!

hope they do better than all the other restaurants at that site.
It’s just one of those venues that seems to attract people who don’t have a clue as to what it takes to run a restaurant: Motzi, a barbecue joint, a sandwich shop, another lunch shop before that.
We’ll see.
Do certain venues entice a certain type of restauranteur? That’s a question for greater minds than mine! Whatever the case, the overhaul the new owners did of the interior looks bright, fresh and modern – if the pictures at the website are any indication. I’m mainly curious about the “comfort food” menu (what exactly does that mean?) and who is behind this all-but-unknown eatery.
Good luck 47 Scott, whoever you are! And send us an update!

No doubt KVOA-TV’s Tom McNamara will wave his hands and arms over this one.

I visited 47 Scott with two other chefs, we ordered the olives, fresh mozz and bread, and freshly toasted bar nuts to start, everything was good, there were several happy hour wines offered. For a start we ordered the mushroom salad, the dressing was excellent. We also enjoyed the arctic char served with polenta and roquette, cooked to medium with a nice crackled skin. The roasted chicken was also very good with a charred crispy skin very homey. We sat on the back patio, a little sparse but pleasant city views and historic brick and mortar charm. The service was friendly although a little dicey for a shift change, got stranded without silverware for a while. I felt we got a good value and enjoyed every dish wine and beer that we received, as well as the unique aromatic cocktails. check it out 4.5 out of 5
