A cupcake shop called 2 Cupcakes has opened inside Melt: A Sandwich Shop at 5056 E. Broadway Blvd. Cupcakes are currently available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
I first heard of this outfit several months ago when I considered taking one of their cupcake-decorating classes, only to find out that they were booked up for months. You can find more information about those classes and more here and here.

I took one of their classes and was very disappointed. We had enough people for her to come to us and she was more than an hour late, and brought her kid. I was hoping for some real decorating techniques, but she didn’t show us anything. She told us to draw a shape under waxed paper, fill it in with melted chocolate and then she put the shapes in the freezer and we stuck them on top of cupcakes that we had frosted. Also the 90 minute class that we paid for only lasted about 30 minutes.
I bought one of her Groupons and we had a party of six scheduled for a Sunday morning. Guess what?? She never showed up!!! I contacted her by email and she was apologetic and said she would make it up to us. She offered us another class and this time we went to her shop. We got three day old dry cupcakes and used hand me down materials. She also promised us a gift certificate for each of us for 1/2 dozen large cupcakes. We filled out a post card with our names and address on them but never got anything mailed to us. I have contacted her THREE times by email (her phone is always full) and have not received a response. I am HIGHELY disappointed in this company and will NEVER EVER use their services <--- if you can even call them that..again. HORRIBLE service for a brand new company. I don't think this company will last long at all.
