Joe Scarborough comes to the defense of Sen. Jeff Flake, who was targeted by conservatives this week for his opposition to shutting down the government to defund Obamacare.

Later in the program, Sen. John McCain talked about the ongoing battle for the future of the GOP between the old guard (represented by McCain, among others) and those who want to shut down government over Obamacare, block immigration reform, and adopt a more isolationist approach to foreign policy (represented by Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, among others). Watch McCain’ appearance after the jump.

  1. The GOP has lost all credibility by embracing the far right wingnut teaparty, Watch for a landslide victory for the Dems next general election. (A former disgusted Republican)…never again.

  2. I’ll admit, Flake has not turned out to be as bad I as expected. He has acted rationally every once and a while, like McCain. For those times, I am grateful.

  3. OH WHATEVER…SAYS IT ALL..

JEFF FLAKE IS A FLAKE FOR SURE, AND SHOULD BE RECALLED FOR HIS VOTE ON GUN CONTROL..

BUT THIS WAS A RATIONAL CALL ON HIS PART..LET’S HOLD OFF THE RECALL.
