Yeah, calling Boston “least drunk” boggles the mind! I can only imagine that since being drunk in Boston is the norm, it doesn’t count. Although, I’m on my way to Bison Witches right now for some $1.50 pints…Cheers!
None of this should come as a shock to anyone who read the George Hand diaries or is familiar with the music of Al Perry.
I haven’t seen how they are weighting things, but if DUI arrests and car accidents are determinative, cities like Boston, New York and San Francisco would rank lower because the drunks can call a cab, use public transportation or just stumble home.
Don’t want to sound like Farley here…but it is a good argument for mass transit and better planning for walkability.
AZ and CA have a lot of the top cities because the states have the strictest DUI laws. NY and Boston at the bottom, me thinks not, poindexter isn’t very aware of what goes on outside of his cubicle at USA today.
Somehow unsurprised, especially if they polled during the school year. Some students stay permanently sauced.
