Martha McSally came out to greet supporters and volunteers around midnight after taking a late lead in the Congressional District 2 race.

“What we are gonna do, is let you guys go to bed,” McSally said.

She announced there would be a press conference Wednesday morning at 10:30.

Throughout the evening Deputy Campaign Manager Kristen Douglas gave most of the updates. As of around midnight, McSally held about 50.2 percent of the vote to incumbent Ron Barber’s 49.7 percent, with more than 90 percent of precincts reporting.

“We are excited. We are enthusiastic because it’s definitely in our favor so go get a good night’s rest,” McSally said.

  1. The Tucson I know has had enough of these Republican idiots. Broklyn Bridge would probably fair better in Maricopa County where republican idiocy is way more tolerated.

  2. classy = romney streaming Obama’s speech on his website
unclassy = mcsally addressing her supporters at the same time
