Of course they are. My goodness, can’t expect the ordinary citizen to have anything — preferably there’ll be full repeal AND a law forcing people who want health care to pay more for much much less. Who cares if working poor die for lack of medical care? Plenty more where they came from!
And the Republicans are going to get the votes where?
IF MCCAIN DOESN’T WANT TO WORK WITH ANYONE IN WASHINGTON, D.C. HE CAN HANG IT UP AND LEAVE HIS CAMPAIGN CHEST BEHIND TO PAY THE BILLS THE LAST PRESIDENT LEFT.
MAYBE HE CAN JOIN RUSS AND LEAVE THE USA IF HE THINKS SO LITTLE OF LIVING HERE HE CAN’T WORK HERE ANYMORE.
THE PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON SHOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT HEALTH CARE WHILE THEY WORKED ON THE BILL. THEN WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SOMETHING PASSED EARLIER.
Having McCain threaten to overturn major social legislation in such an ideologically shrill fashion is probably a good thing for us non-fascist, sane people. After all, this is someone who chose Sarah Palin as a running mate, and is now welcoming her assistance in appealing to the nutjob far right to gain re-election; ‘nough said, no?
What truly scares me is that our democracy is so ill, and the fascist infiltration at the nexus points of power, so pervasive now; that we just had an American Supreme Court issue a decision that said that corporations are people.
Abscent the recission of the anti-trust exemption for insurance companies, and no creation of a public option to provide true competition, I am not thrilled with this legislation. It is barely, a good start. Yet still, the fascists are about to lose their minds over its passage.
John McCain won’t overturn this bill, but unbelievably, the Supreme court might. Watch carefully as our Arizona Governor and AG assist in the effort to circumvent the people’s will.
