After unsuccessfully trying to push comprehensive immigration reform, U.S. Sen. John McCain is rejoining the “build-the-dang-fence” crowd. During an appearance on Phoenix’s Sunday Square-Off, McCain said he believes that the border must be secured before any other immigration legislation can pass. Brahm Resnik reports:
Sen. John McCain is retreating from the goals he set for immigration reform in last year’s “Gang of 8” bill that passed the Senate.
McCain tells 12 News on this weekend’s “Sunday Square Off” that the border must be secure before any other laws are changed.
“People in Arizona are so cynical about the promises that have been made about a secure border, ” he said.
We asked him whether border security now comes first in immigration reform. “I think it’s going to have to,” he responded.
McCain had often said over the last two years that immigration reform was necessary to win over Latino voters and a shot at the White House. His GOP detractors have argued that comprehensive reform would drive away conservatives and wouldn’t capture a significant percentage of the Latino electorate.
We’ll find out who was right in 2016.

BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES MOSTLY INDIFFERENT TO CALLS FROM AMERICANS, TO HALT ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION?
Neither political party can be trusted to do the right thing for the American people. Super PACs spent July beefing up for the fall campaign. Many groups filed new disclosure reports this week, leaving a paper trail littered with big checks from big donors. Democrats dominate the list of notable July donors, as there have simply been more Democratic dollars flowing to that type of outside group this year. As I said “You cannot trust either party” so the next best thing, is not vote for the Democrat Party, nor vote for Republicans. When you go to the voting booth midterm, identify the issues that are of paramount importance to the United States. The major problem that plagues our country, and is being spotlighted is ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
According to rasmussenreports halting illegal immigration has become a priority to dam up our Southern border. Unfortunately the streaming media on the Internet and on printed matter lie through their rotten teeth. They try to hide the fact, that LEGAL Immigrants are not dissimilar from ILLEGAL ALIENS. The biggest difference, they are criminals who broke the law, and then we are expected to reward them with generous donations from US Taxpayers, which the current President is doing. Huge amounts of money in the hundreds of billions, is being spent to placate Illegal aliens. Compassion can only go so far, but when money is being stolen away from our own people, then ICE should step in and remove them. I honestly believe that both political parties have a self-serving agenda.
In our troubled country under Obamas tribunal, we have seen our national debt explode, with massive amounts of dollars printed on empty air. We have 25 million US citizens and green card holders still searching for a decent job and all the time behind our backs this President is trying to change America into something we don’t recognize anymore. I am sickened beyond belief. What could be more disgusting and disgraceful and bring such immense heartache than what is occurring in our beloved country. What’s worse, America’s military has been purged. America is now weak and extremely vulnerable. We have very little defense against this threat called ISIS. That’s why we really have to pull together here. His true colors are really coming out. All this time he has purposely weakened our military; purged it of all combat generals so there is no leadership. Taken out anyone opposed to him and stripped rankings of those who did not bow to him; snatched billions from the Pentagon budget. This President has boasted about cutting defense spending and cut the number of troops serving. In 2015 he wants to cut $5 billion more.
‘Only the American People Can Stop Amnesty’ Obama has his sights set on destroying America. We have seen him trample the Constitution and blatantly disregard the law time and again. Now he is at it again with his push to grant amnesty to millions of incorrigibles. He already released more than 36,000 criminal aliens who were felons, awaiting deportation. Everything is at stake here.
Below, there is a list of the most non-exclusion laws that need to be mandatory, to address enforcement at the Southern border and interior power we desperately need. These policies need to be employed to stop the gush of illegal aliens, that’s if the majority pathetic cowards in the House of Representatives use their power to cut of the funding purse to this monstrous sized Obama government, DACA and any future Amnesties without the full will of the people and not pandering to any sized business welfare. Every American has got to get in the game. So much is riding on your support. The Tea Party specifically has been fighting every day since Obama took office—and the list of abuses; illegal activities and scandals have grown to mind-numbing proportions.
Comprehensive Reform–Amnesty…IRS abuses…Obamacare…gun-grabbing…open borders…deliberate bypassing of Congress…Benghazi…fast and furious weapons to Mexico—cutting our military and failure of National Security.
1. Revive the 700 mile, 2006 Secure Fence Act and build the double layer fencing, complete with concertina razor wire. Hundreds of miles are vacant of any barrier. It was killed by prior Republican Senator Kay bailey Hutchison of Texas by adding a non-escapable amendment to the 2006 bill. Whereas giving complete control to Homeland Security, ruling out any funds to deliver the 700 miles of two fences, separated by an all weather track way. An in between no-mans land where illegal aliens would be caught and detained for immediate deportation.
2. Strengthen the border with surveillance from the National Guard and add more Border Patrol Agents permanently.
3. Position more internal ICE agents to audit employers, instead of 5000 we have now for all of the United States.
4. Modify the law so illegal entry into the US becomes a Felony.
5. Issue a National digital Social Security Card for voting and to identify that person. EVEN E-VERIFY IF FULLY OPERATIONAL WOULD HELP? Intervene with Sen. Harry Reid allowing illegal aliens from stealing child tax credits, which is costing tax payer dollars.
6. Revisit the 14th amendment, thus amending the automatic citizen law, so ONLY the babies of US citizens can claim this right; (A huge expenditure for taxpayers.) Once here parents can stay. This amendment has been financially exploited for decades, and Sen. Harry Reid refuses to discuss a change, even though the process originates from a time of slavery for descendants could claim citizenship. Pregnant women who arrive by aircraft masquerading as a welfare tourists to take advantage of a hospitals in delivering a child, should be reported to ICE.
7. Formulate a new law so that employers who purposely hire illegal aliens will face federal incarceration. Cronyism is broadly the main trouble when it comes to ushering in legal and illegal immigrants into the US. Buying a large majority of our politicians by K Street corporations has long been a harbinger of Americans losing their jobs to cheap working foreigners.
8. Revise the 2006 human trafficking act, so it’s aligned with Mexico and Canadians.
9. Commence a uniform Guest worker program, with entry and exit permission permits and unless mitigating circumstances are available, overstays have committed a felony.
10. Merely legal immigrants with Special high level skills (STEMS) should be admitted permanently as the immigration policies in industrialized nations.
11. MUST LEARN ENGLISH TO IMMIGRATE.
12. There should be no immunity of any federal employee to be excused from accountability for wrongdoing and should be fined, imprisoned or both.

The paranoid stuff about Obama above is embarassing. You could’ve written the same stuff and just substitute Bush. Or Clinton, or Bush, etc.
However, many of the 12 points are valid. Immigration is way too high given our high population (320 million), high unemployment, and low wages.
And comprehensive immigration reform would have doubled immigration from already historically high levels.
I’d eventually like to see the status of long-term illegal immigrants with no ties to their home country normalized, but until the government commits to enforcing the law without increasing legal immigration in the bargain, they can’t be trusted with these rolling amnesties that just encourage illegal immigration (as we’ve just seen with DACA and the flood of unaccompanied minors).

How about no more funds for Health Care until everyone’s completely well?
How about no more road or bridge repair until the cars and trucks using the existing ones quit messing them up?
How about no more money for the military until the bloated one we already have makes everyone else in the world throw down their arms and surrender?

If Sen. John McCain would quit flip flopping on immigration reform people might take him seriously and vote on it. Why don’t we use the laws that are all ready on the books?

Is McCain still a senator? Seriously? I thought he had been retired for being wrong about just about everything in the last decade or flip flopping on important issues such as immigration reform.
