A Tucson resident has filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission against U.S. Rep. Martha McSally over missing information in her campaign bookkeeping.

The complaint was filed Friday on behalf of Virginia Delores Grayam, and it accuses McSally of violating campaign finance law, because the Tucson Republican did not report the required employer and occupation of more than half of individual donors the first two quarters of this year, according to an article by 12 News’ Brahm Resnik. And for the 2013-2014 campaign cycle, that information was missing for 26 percent of donors.

From the article:

The freshman Republican’s campaign staff has had to scramble over the last two weeks to correct reports that overstated current year fundraising by $4 million. The FEC has sent McSally 14 letters about finance-related issues. Her staff has said it’s working to resolve the issues.

According to OpenSecrets.org, McSally’s non-disclosure rate of 26 percent in 2013-14 was more than six times greater than the rate for the next closest member of the Arizona delegation, Democratic Congressman Ruben Gallego, at 4.2 percent. The seven other members of the delegation were at 1 percent or less.

  1. Makes me wonder what else she’s hiding, besides her own views and opinions. Those she has already sold, probably to the Koch Klowns.

  2. What difference does it make when George Soros funds all the riots and protests? Oh I forgot if it involves a liberal/democrat everything is ok. Guess what folks I am sure both parties has a lot to hide. I know Hillery does.

  3. Soros has not significantly funded anyone since 2004 so Bush would not get re-elected and then it was 28 million. This is all public record. No donor who supports liberals is remotely close to Koch brothers. Do some research.

  4. I just wish she understood that the citizens she represents are not all in the military. If I see one more ad from her about the military and her participation I’m going to scream. I love our DM military but Martha was elected to represent ALL of us.

  5. I will tell you this Jack Jack Attack, she didn’t represent the military while she was in it. She has always been about herself and climbing that ladder.

You want see any people under her command or who worked with her recommending her for election or re-election.

Many fellow veterans also find it uncouth that she uses a full bird Colonel insignia on her campaign banners with she was a LT. COLONEL. She should also not be using her military rank so blatantly for a political office, it’s in poor taste and borderline unlawful.

  6. It may be an illusion that she has our military, including its large veteran population, at heart. I don’t think she decided right when she voted to deny veterans legal access to Marijuana.

  7. i never report my employer/occupation for any donation (I did not donate to McSally). One candidate was so afraid of the law they returned my donation. It is none of the FEC, the candidates or your business who my employer is and what I do for them.

The law only says they must ask. If the line is left blank, so what, they asked.

  8. Bunch of trumped up bulls**t. She’s not hiding anything. Oversight. People make mistakes and the liberal Media spins it their way. Besides – everyone just adores Hillary and she hides everything and covers up crap just to suit her and keep her out of jail. Now Hillary knows how to play the game! Be real people, not stupid. Don’t believe everything the news tries to shove down your throat.

  9. I’ve scanned the first quarter list and not only are employment data missing, but the addresses listed are overwhelmingly out of district, out of state. A literal handful are recognizably from constituents. I guess that means Martha represents everybody everywhere. But then she seems to have the ego to do so, as well as the wings to get her around her expanded constituency.

  10. 26 percent mistakes, is a lot of mistakes. Not Hillary we are talking about it is our representative. Amazing how the Tea Potters what everyone to follow the rules but there own.

  11. Ah, the civil Left. Spoken like a true, compassionate Liberal, Aram.
EK. Something tells me you were out protesting one thing or another when you should have been in English class.

  12. Bookkeeping screwups and overstating donations by $4 million. Who better than her to control the Nation’s purse strings? Virtually anybody…hey what’s Jesse Kelly doing? Overseeing more government contracts?

  13. Aram S. Katz:
calling any woman, even self-serving right wing politicians “whore” should be out of bounds.

  14. Why is that Tucson’s Progressives are so angry and bitter? Chill out, we have an election every two years.

    W.

  15. Guardians there is a July 1 article in politico that states Soros helped Clinton’s raise 20 million dollars.

I wonder if Hillary will use it for her campaign or her legal defense fund.

By the way who is funding Sanders?
