One of our foster dogs, Arnold/Arnie, is lost. He was living in Armory Park in a foster home and could have been missing since around 12:30 a.m. (Sept. 5). People have been out all night looking for him.
Arnold has a sad story, because he was living in his forever home until his adopter suddenly died. He came back to Arizona Greyhound Rescue. He spent time in our kennel and then went to his first foster home until she moved into an apartment that didn’t allow big dogs. This is his second foster home.
Arnold is big and black and 5 or 6 years young and really deserves a wonderful permanent home.
If you find him, please call 886-7411 or 318-1222. Reward! Thank you.

Arnold was found! Oh, I wish he could talk. He was lost on 9/4 between 9 pm and midnight. Since then many people spent hours putting up flyers and talking to people in and around Armory Park. He was found at Mission and Ajo. We never would’ve looked in that area. The first call we received was that a black greyhound was shooed out of the IGA.
A few minutes later we received a call that the Mission Pet Veterinary had him. Just moments before they had received a fax from one of our volunteers alerting them about a missing greyhound. The vet tech saw Arnold walk by and started to chase him. Arnold ran and jumped into the wash. The vet tech jumped in after him. Arnold was scrambling to hold onto the muddy slide. The vet tech pulled him to safety. They checked his ear tattoos and it was indeed Arnold who for having been out and about for 2 1/2 days was not in bad shape. Thank goodness it was not 110-degrees!
They washed and fed him. He is now resting at another foster home.
Tomorrow a reward will be taken to the Mission Pet Vet for their quick thinking and bravery.
I now believe in miracles.
