Terry, if you knew how much work went into BOT … WHY I OUGHT TO … Kidding, at least about that part. Seriously … each paper ballot takes about 3-6 minutes to count, seeing as there are 130-plus categories. Each one is checked for stuffing, etc. After the ballots are all counted, there are 30 writers to coordinate, about 40 pictures that need to get taken, etc. All this adds up. And, oh yeah, we basically do the issue in our spare time … we don’t skip an issue or anything to do BOT. So, neener neener.
Have you all heard/seen Huffman’s commercial that brags about your endorsement? I guess no one let them in on the secret! I was not in the room with the TV when it came on today, but it was a commercial for Huffman paid for by the RNC (or something) and you guys are among the bragged about endorsements!
What does it mean to take back your endorsement?
Becky: It means that some new information came up since we endorsed him that caused us to be unwilling to say, “Here’s who we think the best candidate is.” The information was the fact that he was a chickenshit and refused to even discuss the whole Bill Arnold/Toni Hellon debacle with us, or anyone else.
So, is there some way you guys can make them change/take the ad away?
Can it be changed this close to election day?
I have not seen that ad, but we really can’t make them do anything. I’d say it just makes them look dumb to keep running it.
