- DANA O’SULLIVAN
- Linda Ronstadt, age 11.
Linda Ronstadt is the first Tucsonan (besides Paul McCartney) to be inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame*. Nirvana, Kiss, Hall and Oates, Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens and the local hero will join the legendary class of 2014. Unfortunately, Ronstadt is unsure if she can attend the ceremony in April.
“My health is not great right now,” she tells Rolling Stone. “It’s most likely I that I won’t be able to make it to New York in April. Travel is very difficult for me.”
All of us at the Weekly would like to congratulate Linda and the Ronstadt family.
*To the best of our knowledge.

*I thought that Michael Bruce lived in Tucson.
Thanks, Carlos!
Well deserved! It’s about time.
LR had one of the best voices of our time. Well deserved.
That picture reminds me of when it was good to be in Tucson!
Linda Ronstadt, is a Great Artist and many of her songs are true Classics. I second the “Motion”…Super-Well Deserved and It’s about time. So many of her fans are ‘Praying’ for her heath and that she gets better. Making it to New York for the award would be great and keep the faith. As they say, “Where there is the Will there is A Way”.
Also, Tucson is a Great City ! Those that have not visited Old Tucson and Tucson’s Casinos don’t know what they are missing. Great Pro Boxing events at Double-Diamond Casino; make plans to attend. The weather is nice and warm.
I thought Paul McCartney had his Place north of Tucson…not actually in the City Limits.
Oh well… He is another Great Artist and Tucsonian. Of couse , there are other famous folks…My buddy at DSW Trucking…World Champion Rodeo Personality….and think of all the movie that have been made in Tucson. Great Old Town .
