I think I would have to create an elaborate series of charts and graphs to definitively determine my favorite local band, but for certain, The Jons would be in the running. While somehow I have apparently managed to miss that they have several albums out already, the group is planning to release a new studio full-length, El Rey Mojado, in December, and this video for the album’s first single, “Innocente,” provides a glimpse into the band’s world.

Just thinking about all the great shows I saw of the Jons in Tucson. Great band. Just called it quits after 14 years.
