  1. I went to this debate with the intention of asking a question, but we had to submit our questions in writing to these two women who decided which ones were going to be asked of the candidates. The moderator mentioned something at the beginning about controversial or extreme issues not making the cut (I’m not sure what her exact term was).

The gatekeepers apparently decided that my question was either too prosaic, irrelevant, insignificant or extreme to be presented to the candidates. I can understand that, after all, it’s an issue that NEVER gets addressed by candidates or the media during these election debates. I’m getting a little more pissed off every time. What’s it going to take to get these people to do something about this? Is it going to take extreme action on someone’s part? If that’s what it’s going to take, I can do it, but I’d rather not have to, of course.

My question was, “can you fill us in on the details of your plan to stop the killing going on at Pima Animal Control, since most of the victims come from within the City limits?”
