Some holiday housekeeping matters this week:
• If you have not sent in your readers’ Get Out of Town!
submission yet, then get on it ASAP, because this is your last chance:
The deadline is noon, Wednesday, Dec. 9.
Here’s a quick recap of the rules: Try to keep submissions to 150
words or fewer. Please try not to kick out people/places/whatever which
have been previously kicked out of town in the Tucson Weekly. Use your real name—after all, we Weekly writers do when we
boot folks out of town—and send your phone number, too, so we can
verify authorship.
Send them to me at the address below or to mailbag@tucsonweekly.com.
Thanks!
• If you are involved with a New Year’s dinner, concert or
special event, please let us know—and let us know soon! As we do
every year, we’re putting together a guide to Tucson New Year’s
goings-on, in the Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 issues.
Please send the 411 on special dinners and food-related events to
Adam Borowitz at noshing@tucsonweekly.com no later
than noon on Monday, Dec. 14 (and please copy listings@tucsonweekly.com).
For music-related events, e-mail Stephen Seigel at musiced@tucsonweekly.com no later
than Friday, Dec. 11 (and—again—copy listings@tucsonweekly.com).
For anything else New Year’s-related, e-mail listings@tucsonweekly.com no later than noon on
Monday, Dec. 14.
Please, do not miss these deadlines—and submitting early
substantially boosts your event’s chances at getting featured.
