From Jim Nintzel, at the Jesse Kelly gathering tonight at the Viscount Suite Hotel:

After the early results came in—showing that he had a commanding lead—Jesse Kelly declined to declare victory, but said he was “humbled” by the show of support.

“The general starts tonight,” he said.

Kelly’s gathering was smaller than the party he had on the evening of the GOP primary election in 2010, when he beat former state lawmaker Jonathan Paton. He would go on to lose a close race to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in the general election.

  1. Which Jesse will show up for the “general”? The newer, kinder, toned down Jesse or will it be the bombastic blowhard with mindless sloganeering instead of ideas, that we had to listen to for months two years ago? I’m betting that there will be no change since ideas were absent in his primary win.
