  1. Brilliant piece. Easy to see why private schools don’t get on this crazy train. Opt your kids out.

  2. Here’s yet another example of how it is possible to add humor to just about everything. Nothing is too important nor trivial.

  3. However, when “education” is defined and instituted as training humans to “fit” into the square peg of a “job” in order to survive…

Isn’t this what you should expect to get?

    Oh, follow the money…

  4. Yeah! Follow the lack of money the lawmaker stooled from our public school system.
We as voters must insist the state of Arizona pay back moneys the taxpayer voter for our school system.
In my eyes, they are nothing but law braking thugs diverting school money for their own priority’s. The should be arrested and put on trial for their crime.

  5. I agree Old man. I really don’t know why they aren’t in prison. Anyone else ( I don’t know who else would even think about stealing from education),who stole money that the taxpayers voted to go to education would for sure be in prison. THere are definitely people responsible .

I think the stakes have gotten way way too high on testing and this needs to stop. I am for the opting out and then the lawmakers might pay attention.

  6. Pearson is representative of the corporate takeover of smaller, more trustworthy companies. Pearson has bought up most, if not all, the companies that used to research and develop reliable testing instruments – instruments that are used across many areas of academic and psychological inquiry, as well as providing foundational criteria for making important decisions. Bigger is better for business, but not for reliability.
