There are only two posts so far, but a new subcategory on link-sharing behemoth Reddit has been set up to shame Tucson’s inconsiderate drivers.
Here’s what will apparently get you in trouble:
Double parking.
Parking in places not meant for vehicles.
Parking in handicap spaces without proof of ability to do so.
Parking too damn close to other vehicles.
Parking in any failtacular way.
Driving like an asshat.
Leaving children/pets/Elderly locked up in your parked vehicle in the hot sun without AC. (Seriously, if you do this, you’re a douche).
Hindering the normal flow of traffic.
Road rage.
Anything else along these lines.
The good news if you’re terrible at operating a vehicle? The admin asks that posters remove personal or identifying information on the photos. So, you feel the shame, friends and family who know you well enough to recognize your car can give you funny looks, and the general public is unlikely to find you and engage in Steven Seagal-style vigilante justice. Everyone wins!

It’s not like these people will feel any remorse or shame. My experiences with inconsiderate drivers have showed me they usually feel an entitlement to the actions they perform. Posting their photos on this site will probably make them feel as if they are being singled out for doing nothing wrong.
Saw a luxury car parked similarly at Sprouts on Speedway Sunday morning, right on the ramp to the front door.
I just figured it was a bit too much car for the driver.
We’re supposed to shame people who leave animals/children in cars? That’s not asking to be shamed, that’s asking to have your windows broken.
This might explain some of this behavior:

And let’s face it, have you ever seen someone driving a Hummer that wasn’t a douche?
O.K., I did, once, back in 2006.
I’ve seen lots of people driving hummers who weren’t douches….of course they were real Hummers, driven by soldiers, and not the jacked up POC’s that run around town driven by wannabe’s.
There are a lot of people on Tucson streets who should not be allowed behind the wheel, especially some of our elderly who have diminished vision, hearing, response times. Those same people, though, if they don’t have a fabulous support system, become shit in’s. There is little public transportation, especially in outlying areas, and the cost of taxis for grocery, drug store, doctor apptscan become outside the means of someone on a low, fixed income. There are no simple answers.
I know a couple who have a hummer – some of the nicest people I know. Repeat after me: I will not pre-judge, I will not pre-judge…
Shaming strangers on Reddit is an awful idea. How do you know the person didn’t sprain their ankle and can barely walk, or just lost their mother to cancer, or is just having a godawful day like we all have from time to time? Even if they’re just hopeless people, how will the modern equivalent of shaming help? It’s just mean, like much of what is on the internet.
