A few weeks ago we talked about the glory of the Period Store, an online business that brings cool care packages to your doorstep timed to your cycle. Inside are tampons and pads from foreign lands, and cookies and chocolate. But what about young women just about to get her monthly visitor for the first time?

Well, we gals here at Weekly World Central found out about Hello Flo, a service that sells starter kits. It’s set to kick off in September, but you can pre-order for your daughter or niece right now.

The coolest thing about Hello Flo is the Camp Gyno video with enough truth in it about camp to ignite some memories, although my generation never saw a cool spokesperson talking straight about periods and passing out those tampons with such flair.

One reply on “Hello Flo: Welcome to Camp Gyno”

  1. I don’t care how mentally mature certain young females are, receiving this package as a “gift” from a parent or a well meaning relative would surely be awkward, embarrassing, and/or traumatic for the recipient. Especially if it is given by that creepy uncle with the lazy eye and the around-the-clock whiskey breath. I shudder to think.
