Congressman Raul Grijalva tells The Range that he thought President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech last night was “one of the best, if not the best.”
“I watched all eight and other than his first one, this was his best State of the Union,” Grijalva said.
Grijalva said he was particularly impressed with Obama’s push against allowing wealthy interests to decide the future of nation, his call for action on climate change— “Like it or not, climate change is real,” Grijalva said—and his veiled warning against embracing the brand of politics being peddled by Donald Trump.
“We can’t let ourselves be divided in to ‘us vs. them’ and not get anything done in this country,” Grijalva said. “That’s not our strength. I thought all those parts were very powerful and aspirational.”
As Obama enters his final year in office, Grijalva said he still has his differences with the president but is impressed with what he has accomplished.
“The differences over trade, the differences over an economic strategy and creating jobs, you know, those differences are still there,” Grijalva said. “But I was here when Bush left and we were inches away from going into the toilet economically and going into a depression.”
Grijalva still wishes the Affordable Care Act had “been stronger, but given the odds that he was working against, his legacy is going to viewed, from an objective point of view, as remarkable.”

What a tool of the left. If we are going to get the money out of politics (never happen) start with Soros. Then use this to find many more:

Climate change is the means for government to enrich everyone but the taxpayer. That’s why they have put it ahead of public’s safety. Regulations and taxes have gutted American jobs.
Trump may be the only with the fortitude to fix it.
Obama’s last State of the Union address in three words: Disjointed, irrelevant and disappointing
By Edward Rollins
What do you expect from another loser. Birds of a feather.
Bitter losers, ease up one more year of modest change and slow but steady progress not just for a few but a real boost up for millions. People starting to receive healthcare denied for so many is just one such plus from the Obama seven years. No new war adventures, killing people in our name another Obama-Grijalva plus. The people of Arizona and the whole Southwest have a jewel, a golden nugget in Congressman Grijalva. Not a flashy headline seeking run of the mill politician but a solid hard working down to earth citizen elected to Congress to serve us not the rich and special interests. Congressman Grijalva words of truth speaking of President Obama’s final State of the Union address: “We can’t let ourselves be divided in to ‘us vs. them’ and not get anything done in this country,” Grijalva said. “That’s not our strength. I thought all those parts were very powerful and aspirational.” A few more Congressman Grijalvas to support our great President Obama. Pin the tail on the right losers, ideologues who refuse to admit after seven years America is better off.
This is news? I have heard more convincing endorsements from the North Korean Politburo.
did he just say take money out of politics. Fine do not take any from lobbyists or a salary. Didn’t think so hypocrite
It is time to be more truthful, less political and call “Climate Change” what it really is: “Global Pollution”
