One day after criticizing an NRCC ad for co-opting her name and image (and just as early voting is set to begin), Gabby Giffords stars in a new ad from Americans for Responsible Solutions that backs Congressman Ron Barber in his race against Republican challenger Martha McSally. Leaving aside the political message, it’s amazing and wonderful to see how far Gabby has come in her recovery. Once again, Gabby Giffords continues to inspire.

  1. We all know criminals don’t go through background checks. What good is the so called extended background check going to do if the government won’t let them put mental health information in the data base on the people that has problems.

  2. Gabby, except for her stance on the 2nd amendment and Obumacare, wasn’t all that bad considering she was a liberal. Ron Barber is a joke! He didn’t make a pimple on Gabby’s azz when it comes to common sense. As an Independent, I cannot support someone who is supporting the illegal POTUS. I’ll be siding with the Republicans in most cases this election and I’m pretty sure that there are many more just like me.

  3. Politico quotes Mrs Kelly:

“Ron Barber is independent, he’s courageous, and most of all he’s Arizona through and through,” Giffords says in the commercial, which was released by her pro-gun-control super PAC, Americans for Responsible Solutions.

Look everybody Ron is longer a progressive democrat. He’s now an independent. Funny thing is that independents have promised to vote against the ACA.

    What’s Ron’s position?

    Why not ask Mr Kelly?

  4. Expand background checks that pose no threat to 2nd Amendment rights (which I support) and are proven to work? Check.

Make health care available to millions of people who did not have it before? Check.

Listen to reactionary troglodytes who spew nonsensical hatred and B.S. at every politician that operates on compassion and common sense instead of tired old scare tactics and scapegoats? No thanks.

  5. Hilarious. The POTUS is illegal? No that would be his predecessor, who was selected by the SCOTUS, yet failed to win the vote.

  6. Is it an indication of something sad about our society that none of the comments above has a word to say about how marvelous it is to see and hear Gabby speaking her mind with praise for her friend and successor and not a negative word? Everyone jumps on his own hobby horse and none says thanks be to God for Gabby continuing to get well and to inspire. Well, I’ll say it: “Thank God for Gabby’s long arduous struggle to recover having brought her this far and still working at it. I’m inspired.”
