It doesn’t sound like he’s planning on voting in favor of the half-cent sales tax hike or supporting the idea of building a downtown hotel. He also hasn’t heard about the Tucson Police Department’s absurd crackdown on downtown jaywalkers.

I don’t care if there is a (R) by his name in political shorthand: This guy knows what he’s talking about, he’s willing to explain his position, he loves finding data to make decisions, and he’s not in the least afraid of taking positions that might not be popular if he’s been convinced by that data.
What’s not to like?
