BREAKING NEWS: Limp Bizkit front man Fred Durst is developing a drama about his life with The CW network.  Are you ready for a new show by the man that directed Douchebag and The Long Shot? What a coincidence because both of those titles are really good ways to describe how one might feel about Durst and his career.

The Noise, created by Durst, chronicles the rise of a young artist in the 1990s who escapes a tumultuous home life and forms a wildly popular band with a unique sound. Durst, of course, hit it big with his rap metal band Limp Bizkit, which formed in 1994 and went on to superstardom with hits like “Nookie,” “Break Stuff” and their cover of George Michael’s “Faith.”

This is surprising news because I thought Fred Durst and his band would just fade away with those NOW CD collections. Who’s the target audience? “Nookie” and “Rollin'” aren’t classics that the young people of today know. Original Limp Bizkit fans are probably married with children and trying to put their bad taste of music behind them.

I couldn’t imagine working with Durst on anything because he’s so bossy. He has a song called “My Way.” ‘Nuff Said.

  1. Just wondering if i am the only person who doesn’t know what “CW” is? Ok Fred Durch is doing a new show… Cool, i can appreciate that for what it is. Now its about his life with the CW? WHAT IS CW? I have no clue. Maybe they could spell it out for me? Dunno, maybe i am just plain dum.

  2. TJ, you’re right. I should have explained what that was. I don’t have cable so I understand what it’s like to never know what anyone is talking about when it comes to television. Thanks for reading.

  3. I guess you get some internet clicks by posting your opinion. But that is all it is. Regardless of whether you care for Durst’s music. How many people can say they recorded a hit song? Furthermore, how many people that has gone through heart surgery wearing a pace maker has recorded a hit song? Are you a writer, or a hater?
