Former Arizona Representative Daniel Patterson, who resigned in the wake of an ethics investigation following accusations of domestic violence which he was later acquitted of, just couldn’t stay away. According to his Twitter page today, he’s seen the error of his ways and has switched his party registration back to Democrat from Independent.
I’m back as Democrat. As fmr Rep I’ll be active in LD3 & Progressive Democrats of America @pdaaz @pdamerica #Tucson #AZ

I take responsibility for my mistakes & I learned tough lessons. I’m also proud of my good record helping people & optimistic on my future

Now, that’s admittedly neither relevant nor interesting — Patterson’s got the kind of stigma about him that makes you sigh when his name comes up in conversation — but at least he’s trying to go on a better path, right?
Then there’s this, from KPHO photog Gilbert Zermeno:
Odd-Former Az Rep Daniel Patterson tries to get cameras attention. No one rolls. He brought his dog. #Loughner #Tucson twitter.com/Photog5i/statu…

Sigh.
It doesn’t seem to be a coincidence that Patterson was down there, either. After all, he expressed hope that “justice [will] be served” in the Loughner sentencing just half an hour before he was seen by Zermano.

Talk is cheap, walk the walk. Then welcome back.
Loser, big time. Just go away.
I was outside the court today only to show respect for victims, several of whom I know. Everyone was in the same area; I was not seeking any attention. Neither the photographer or writer talked with me; that’s not journalism. This media speculation is wrong, as it often is. Thanks, Daniel Patterson
Go crawl back into your hole, Patterson. Might as well, join the repugs. We don’t want you.
Forget it Daniel, your career is over! Go back to Michigan! Arizona doesn’t want you!
