All five suspects have now been named. They are: Gabriel Quiroga, 15; Jessica Good, 17; Andrew Totten, 15; Anastasia Lakin, 17; and Christopher Gibson, 18.
Original Story:
Five Flowing Wells High School students were arrested Wednesday on charges of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder. Tucson Police Department say they conspired to kill a fellow student.
The students were allegedly planning to kill another student with a knife. The plan was thwarted when a student alerted school administration, who turned the case over to TPD detectives with the Special Investigation Division to conduct interviews. One of the suspects had a knife in his possession.
Police say the attack was planned because of an issue the group had with the target. One of the suspects is 18-year-old Christopher Gibson. The other four of the suspects are minors and their names are currently being withheld.
This is the second high profile arrest at the Northwest-side school. In January a Flowing Wells student was arrested for aggravated assault after a student was attacked outside the school The victim was hospitalized with injuries suffered in the attack.

I AM FRIENDS WITH 4 OF THEN!! I HAVE KNOWN 4 OF THEN FOR 6 YEARS NOW!! I KNOW THEY ARE NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO DO IT!!THEN MAY SAY THEY WILL BUT THEY WILL NOT EVEN TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goes to show that our education system needs a better look at…the comments made previously this cannot spell or use proper grammer focus on your schooling and stop the bullying
Does Arizona allow naming minors?
Wow! This is part of the generation we’re counting on to help support social security…guess we need to rethink that concept.
I know Gabriel. and hes not like that honestly it seriously surprised me that he would do that.
At Pam Duchaine, I am not a lawyer, but I believe if they are being tried as adults they can release the names. I did not even hear anything about this now, but I rarely watch local news. To the other people stating that they know these people; they are innocent until proven guilty, but sometimes people, especially at a younger age, do not know that things they say may have unintended consequences. I hope that both sides get a good attorney, and the actual truth comes out.
You are all horrible at leaving comments.
Thanks, no
It’s most likely that each of these individuals would not have ‘done the deed’, but a group mind of teenagers can easily create a mob mentality through being validated by the perceived convictions of the others. I also agree with the above comment about how the things we say can have unintended consequences. Not too clever to say you’re going to kill a fellow student, even in jest, considering how often students DO follow through and murder in their schools, as evidenced by the overwhelming number of school shootings this nation has seen recently. However, I will also say that I have not heard of any actual school shooters/killers spreading word of their intent before hand. It’s like the idea that the dog that barks isn’t the one that bites.
These issues are taken very seriously for a reason:
Just Google the murder of ‘Cassie Jo Stoddart’ or ‘Shanda Sharer’.
“they would never do that”, “he’s such a nice guy and wouldn’t harm anyone”…..Wake up you dumb asses! People are not born bad, they become bad through time!
1. Word got out of their plan to kill a fellow student (thankfully the Po Po acted proactively and took the matter as serious).
2. A knife was found on someone indicating their was some level of truth to the threat
As far as I’m concerned, two strikes against them which smells and looks like intention to me. Thankfully they did brag about their plan, an investigation was made and action was taken. Throw the book at these jackasses and let them rot in cells – guilty!!! Wake up America, it’s time to take back some law and order!!!
As a student of FWHS I was appalled to here of the situation unfolding on my campus. as the principle stated in his email and public announcement it was disturbing, and to here that not only one but five people who I go to school with, who I walk by in the halls and go to class with every single day were planning to murder another student is absolutely horrid. It disgusts me that these people would stoop so low as to conspire to murder another class mate, no matter what justification they decided to use it is absolutely horrible. These former students not only put the life of that one student in danger but they put all of our lives in danger because Flowing Wells is a unified community and when one student is hurt we are all hurt, these students threatened our community, our lives and for that they deserve as harsh a punishment as the law permits. Flowing wells is a family, and when someone threatens that family we stand up against the opposition and protect our own, these five destitute soles are lost, they have isolated themselves, and they will pay for their inhuman atrociousness. To whoever stood up and spoke out about these students you are the hero of our family, you protected our community and for that you deserve all our respect and thanks.
Better luck next time. lol
You are correct Hunter. Btw I have Duston Carrol’s pic saved on my comp if anyone wants it….People really are stupid… a mask on one site is not going to save you from another site. I also have his FB page, so if you want to message him let me know…his FB page is https://www.facebook.com/Disasterous.Dirty… @ Duston try hacking me.
Holy fuck, this type of incoherent gibberish posted by FWHS “students” are what my property tax dollars are funding?
“appalled to here”
“4 of then”
“then may say they will”
“he’d never fuck you”
To the kids saying thy know the suspects and they are all talk and wouldn’t actually do it:
Have you ever watched reporters interview neighbors of s serial killer? “He was so quiet” “he seemed so normal” “I can’t believe he would be capable of something like that” are the typical things people say about serial killers. You don’t know what’s in someone else’s mind.
exjourno, I am as appalled as you are at the complete lack of coherency of the comments left here by a couple Flowing Wells students. However, that’s all they are, a couple of students, and their comments don’t reveal anything other than their own lack of appreciation for education and/or “proper” grammar.
In other words, making broad and rash generalizations about the education system based on what you see here, in a non-academic setting, is foolish.
Have fun in prison !
So far no one has been charged. It’s in the preliminary stage of investigation. Court dates are pending. If you bring a knife to school it has a tendency to make you wonder what was on
this kid’s mind? Is he an avid wood carver? Ahhhhhhh……No! I’m curious what kind of trouble
these youngster’s have been in before. Dimes to dollars something has taken place in the
past. There’s some SERIOUS psychological problems involved in this type of behavior that
needs attention. The violence contemplated, and the young age of the accused are indicators
of continued violent behavior in the future. Thank God that kid came forward. This could have
been a tragedy.
Which one is the first one?
“Holy fuck, this type of incoherent gibberish posted by FWHS “students” are what my property tax dollars are funding?”
exjourno, you have some subject-verb disagreement going on here (“this type… are what my property tax dollars are funding”) and you begin with a complete gratuitous obscenity, so maybe you should study your own gibberish before criticizing others.
not even charged, waste of time and money. The cops did such a crap job the Prosecutor’s office declined to charge go ahead.
