The Associated Press is reporting that according to Arizona exit polls and other polls, fans of SB 1070 are also fans of Jan Brewer.
Meanwhile, Terry Goddard does well with Latinos and people who dislike 1070:
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer scored well Tuesday among voters who support the state’s controversial new immigration law and feel that most illegal immigrants should be deported, according to an Associated Press analysis of preliminary exit poll results and pre-election polls.
More than three-fourths of people who strongly support the new law favored Brewer, a Republican, over Democratic opponent Terry Goddard.
Goddard won over nine out of 10 voters who strongly oppose the new law and nearly three-fourths of Latino voters.
This article appears in Oct 28 – Nov 3, 2010.

And to think if this weekly had done its job, Brewer may very well have had a more formidable opponent. Election integrity would be in the forefront of peoples’ minds and the distraction of SB1070 would have been seen for its intended purpose – voter disenfranchisement:

JT, God Himself would have lost to Jan Brewer, due to SB 1070. Only a handful of conspiracy theorists feel they way you do.
So now Greg Palast is a conspiracy theorist? All the rest, by the way, simply required that you tell the truth. From the shenanigans surrounding the iBeta report to and unbiased presentation of ALL the facts surrounding Goddard’s handling of the RTA investigation. Conspiracy or not. Brewer is made of papier mâché and could have been easily crumpled by a candidate with no baggage. The only other thing standing in the way of such a defeat is a press with a spine.
JT, the election-integrity issue didn’t even rate as an issue in the minds of anyone in the statewide race. You’re insane.
So everybody watching these horse races don’t give two shits whether its rigged or not? Who’s insane?
