Over dinner with family the other night, we talked about what happens after Hillary Clinton wins.

I can’t imagine at this point a world without the words Madame President. She’s going to win, right?

After all, that nasty woman remark was enough to make everyone realize this guy, Donald Trump, really has been wasting our time all along. It’s been a test, perhaps. Do we fail or pass on Election Day?

I say we pass, but then what happens after the election, when Trump has to concede. I don’t think we will have issues with hanging chad this go-round, that is if it is a close call. But what I’m actually thinking about right now is what happens after all the election signs come down and we prep for the inauguration. I remember covering what turned out to be early tea-bagger rallies after Barack Obama was elected.

Frankly, those rallies scared me—I couldn’t understand the number of people not able to accept Obama as their president. I was disgusted by the number of hateful anti-Obama signs, especially those that depicted him as a monkey. The racism that’s boiled to the surface through the teabaggers with Obama’s election and reelection Is disturbing and sad. Now I’m wondering what happens with Clinton’s election? As women, I don’t think we need teabaggers to remind us, as they did with racism, that misogyny is alive and well in the good ol’ U.S.A. I don’t need that.

Can’t we just come up with a friendly agreement, if you are going to do a new set of rallies with a new president to hate, just remember how to spell nasty. That’s N-A-S-T-Y.

Thanks.

  1. Mari,

You really should check into the origins of the slur tea-baggers before you bandy it around like a clever name to call people who do not think like you. Personally, I have nothing in common with members of the TEA Party, but I served for more than 20 years to defend their and your right to free speech. Nevertheless, whether you like it or not we are all Americans who will have to live together after this election. At the end of the American Civil War the commander of Union force, Ulysses S. Grant, admonished celebrations of the defeat of Confederate soldiers reminding his armies that the former rebels were still Americans.

  2. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. I’m just curious how does disagreeing with a presidents policies make me a racist? Just asking.

  3. Republican conservative extremist groups such as the Tea-Party ,skin-heads, KKK, the Senate and the House of Representatives did not spring up overnight. It’s the same boiling pot that started with the Civil War and has been erupting with destructive tangents from that time. They are the tip of the iceberg that would in a heartbeat DESTROY DEMOCRACY because of their frivolous, insignificant , petty mental machinations. Republican conservatives live by an Ideology which never changes easily. Democrat Liberal Progressives live by a Philosophy which changes and adapts to new situations and stimuli.

  4. Beneal. If I had the time I could spend all day ripping what you wrote to shreds. Try reading a history book before you make a total idiot out of yourself.

  5. I’m disgusted that the a-hole in the White House was not IMPEACHED the first time he crossed that boundary that he signed on first Executive Order that excerpted the Constitution. He, Hillary, Harry and Nancy all be long behind bars. (PS: He is not nor has he been MY president!)

  6. “Now I’m wondering what happens with Clinton’s election? As women, I don’t think we need teabaggers to remind us, as they did with racism, that misogyny is alive and well in the good ol’ U.S.A. I don’t need that.”

People (teabaggers you say, will reject Clinton as president because they are misogynists? I’m not buying it. The majority of voters who dislike and/or distrust Clinton, have varied reasons for their antipathy the least of which is her gender. For me, her responding to a question concerning why she accepted $775,000 from her friends at Goldman Sachs said it all: “that’s what they offered.”

The Clintons have accepted tens of millions from true misogynists, their wealthy donors in Quatar, Saudi Arabia and the emirates. Want to worry about sexism, start there. She is the luckiest woman alive, gets to run for the presidency against a loud mouthed fool. There are worthy women in the Democratic Party, all of them would be a better choice than Bonnie Darrow.

  7. To all who disliked my comment to Mari, I notice that none of you offered an opposing argument. Too easy, Brother. Too easy.

  8. Proud American – “excerpted” the Constitution? You mean the President included an excerpt from the Constitution in the Executive Order? I may be wrong, but I really don’t think there’s anything wrong, legally or otherwise, with including language from the Constitution in an Executive Order.

  9. The FBI has just re-opened its investigation into Clinton’s personal email server. The “optics” are not good with this latest outbreak linked to Anthony Weiner and his wife (for now) Huma Abedin’s (Clinton’s most trusted advisor) and a lurid case involving Weiner’s online predatory correspondence with a fifteen year old girl.

Fun to watch the Clintonistas pitching predictable fits, now excoriating FBI Director Comer who was once their hero for not indicting Hillary. Congratulations to the Democrats. They’ve nominated the only candidate capable of losing to a certifiable lunatic.

  10. I strongly oppose the election of Hillary Clinton, and none of my reasons have to do with her being a woman. Just like I wouldn’t vote for Palin or McSally just because they’re women, I won’t vote for Clinton just because she is a woman.

Her policies are awful for all but the very rich, and she certainly doesn’t care about women and children who are poor or non-white or not American. She happily sent child refugees from Honduras back to an incredibly dangerous situation (to “teach” their parents), and she is currently ignoring the violent attacks on women and children (and men) at the #NoDAPL protests in North Dakota. She is silent while peaceful, unarmed protesters are brutalized with pepper spray, tasers, “less-lethal” rounds, and beatings, and while those arrested are strip-searched, left in their cells naked, and have numbers written on their arms. She has taken millions of dollars in donations from oil companies and the banks that are invested in this pipeline.

This is who you’re voting for? Shame on you!

Watch this 7-minute video http://www.unicornriot.ninja/?p=10476 and then remember that Clinton (and Obama and most Democrats, as well as Republicans) are doing NOTHING to protect our environment and the human rights of the people who are fighting to save the water for all of us.

Vote third party (and you can still vote for a woman if you want: Jill Stein). #NeverHillary #NeverTrump

  11. Everyone has a choice between Scary or Evil I for one think I can see Scary coming and hae a chance. I have no defence or ability to challenge EVIL can’t even see it coming.Just the carnage. Who is Scary and who is Lying makeup you own mind. I dont vote on somebodies repulsive indignation. Either way

  12. Free speech in America Today proud Hillary voters.
These people feel they have the moral right to express. It is these people that support Hillary in the Urban cities across America. It makes one wonder if these kind of people triumph or feel they did and didn’t get the respect they deserve for their support. Make you feel like investing in the inner city or the Liberal cause.

  13. Hillary makes one last attempt to fly around the country this week to try to convince the voters that she is a not a liar, a fraud, a cheat and a thief. She will be in Phoenix Wednesday and Kaine will be in Tucson Thursday. I urge to all to get your signs ready and be there to let them know how you feel about what she has done.

Here are my favorites seen over the weekend:

    Lock her up

    Liar liar pantsuit on fire

    Hillary is rigged

Take Bill and go back to Arkansas

You wouldn’t let us feel the Bern. So now you can feel the Weiner.

If elected go directly to jail.

Let’s see how creative you can get.

  14. Trump has asked an even better question once he heard that Donna Brazille was feeding her advanced questions from the CNN debate.

Why didn’t Hillary tell US? This is exactly who she is. She has lied and cheated her way near to the top.

Don’t vote for her because she is a woman. A better one will come along, very soon. Vote against her because of what she does.

  15. Better woman candidates for President would include Tammy Duckworth (D) and Susana Martinez (R).

Wish this campaign was over, I’ve exceeded my “makes me want to vomit” quota with two disgusting choices. I’ll pass.

  16. Doesn’t this just tear you upchuck?

Tammy Duckworth faces a lawsuit from two whistleblowers from within the Illinois Dept. of Veterans Affairs (DVA) for wrongfully terminating and humiliating one employee and threatening the whistleblowers job unless she keep (her) mouth shut. Earlier this week the Washington Free Beacon revealed an internal email from Duckworth, where she acknowledged that she screwed up in wrongfully firing the whistleblower and called on her staff to give reasons to justify the firing.

Tammy Duckworth? Not so much. Just another Hillary. Why not, she gets away with it?

  17. The bible of liberals The N.Y. times said this morning that there was no connection between Trump and the Russians. Nice try. Mother Jones ?? Now there is a reliable news source.

  18. Guess we don’t need to learn to spell N-A-S-T-Y.
Maybe you can learn to spell C-R-O-W.
I think they serve it cold at La Cocina.
