Is it Really Spring?
Is it true?
Is it really spring?
In the desert
The creosote is blooming.
Against a carpet of gold and white,
Colors delicate, colors fresh,
Its green advertises life
and a new beginning.
The phaino is confused
Wondering if it should head north,
The ironwood’s gloomy green brightens
And the errant saguaro wears a crown of white
While icicles chills the north
And ice storms rage across the east.
So, is it true?
Is it really spring?
